The FAME Award winners are chosen by fans through two series of online voting. The first round of nominees will be voted on through April 26. The second round will determine the winners that will be announced during an awards ceremony to take place at the Erotica LA convention at the Los Angeles Convention Center on June 13, 2009.

Belladonna graciously accepted the Best Director award, which encompassed her directorial vision for all of her 2008 movies including her vignette movie Discovering Alexis Texas which was also up for the Best Gonzo Movie award. The movie stars Alexis, each scene taking place in a different era, from the 70s through modern day. Belladonna also performs in a scene with Alexis, giving college girl Alexis pointers on blowjobs.
