John met their owner, Peter Acworth, who I had talked to on the phone a couple of times last year about business. Because of his British accent, Peter seems like he’s very proper. And he’s certainly a fantastic businessman. He also truly loves the content of his sites. If I didn’t already know that John could be such an over-the-top sexual guy AND a great business owner, I’d be really shocked by someone like Peter.
The two guys got to talking during the party, Claire Adams joined us, and before we all knew it, it was almost 3am and I was exhausted. During the evening Peter and John talked about possible co-brandings between Evil Angel and Kink including shooting collaborations.
We met again at the XBiz Summer Forum in Las Vegas a couple weeks ago, and Peter came to dinner with John and I and our lawyer Al Gelbard. The guys discussed that it would be a good idea for John to guest-direct a scene for one of Kink’s sites. Over the last two weeks, it was decided that the scene would be geared for the site MenInPain.com.
John flew to San Francisco this morning to direct the scene. I talked to John about an hour ago, and he told me that he was in director’s heaven. Tonight he’s going to hang out with the crew in San Francisco, and he gets to stay in the guest quarters at the Armory.
I’m really excited to get to see whatever it is that John’s shooting right now. Driving me almost as crazy is thinking about how badly I want to shoot for Kink.com myself. Maybe John can help me work out some of those frustrations this weekend.
